The
demands involved in pursuing your professional goals may leave you
little time to analyze your financial situation and plan for the
future. You are not alone. That is the case for many people for
many people in high income tax brackets. These personal time constraints
put you in a position to have the most to lose from hasty financial
decisions and the most to gain from a detailed plan prepared by
a qualified financial planner.
HELPING YOU CHART A COURSE:
As a Financial Planner I am: An Advisor, a Strategist, a Confidant
with the knowledge, experience and objectivity necessary to assist
in evaluating your current financial position. A personal financial
plan includes an evaluation of your present tax situation, investments,
and cash management. It also takes into consideration estate planning,
your plans for retirement, education for your children and risk
management.
IMPLEMENTATION: THE KEY STEP:
No matter how thoroughly my work is done, the creation of your financial
plan is only half the job. If your plan is not implemented, my effort
may serve no purpose. There may be work to be done by another professional
advisor such as your attorney or banker. With my service, their
respective services would be coordinated in your behalf. There also
may be recommendations in the areas of investments and insurance.
YOUR FINANCIAL PLAN:
Financial planning begins with in-depth fact gathering. I will review
such information as tax returns, current investment portfolios,
contract and insurance policies. We will also discuss your financial
goals and general attitudes toward finances. Next, I will carefully
analyze all the information mentioned above and prepare a detailed,
written financial plan. The plan will include an analysis of your
present financial situation, a list of your goals, and recommendations
as to specific strategies for achieving those goals.
This will be your financial plan.
A plan geared to:
who you are,
what you have,
what you want.
Specific goals vary form person to person, as well strategies for
achieving them. In general, recommendations will fall into six broad
categories.
INVESTMENTS:
I know the potential and risk involved in different Investments,
and I am aware of the wide variety of new financial alternative
available. If you already have investments I will evaluate your
portfolio and recommend changes when they are in your best interest.
I can help you implement your investment strategy, working with
others when necessary.
CASH MANAGEMENT:
The timing of investment decisions and effective cash flow management
are problems that plague even the most knowledgeable investors.
I will help you formulate long and short-term investment strategies
along with an organized and effective implementation plan.
TAXES:
I will analyze your previous tax returns, and may recommend steps
to limit your tax liability.
RISK MANAGEMENT:
Whatever your financial goals, you will need protection...protection
against the unpleasant, yet potentially catastrophic losses associated
with natural disasters, illness, disability, personal property loss
liability and premature death. I will evaluate your present risk
management program and will recommend changes, when appropriate.
RETIREMENT PLANNING:
Financial independence during retirement is a goal that many of
us desire but rarely plan. I will assist your in developing your
goals for retirement. Then, using current tax laws and investment
vehicles, an effective step-by-step strategy for providing the capital
and income needed to accomplish your financial independence goals
will be developed.
ESTATE PLANNING:
Another issue to consider. What will happen to your estate if you
die today? I am thoroughly familiar with estate laws...laws that
may have changed over the years to make some provisions in your
will meaningless. Working with an attorney, I will review your will,
and ensure that it takes advantage of current tax laws, that your
assets are distributed according to your wishes, that there will
be adequate income for your family, and sufficient funds to pay
estate costs.
I know you work hard for your money and genuinely believe you're
entitled to a comfortable, relaxed, worry-free life as your career
responsibilities wind down. I take personal satisfaction in helping
you succeed.
